 AED Fundraising Programme

We are currently raising funds for the purchase of at least one, but possibly two AED units for our Mobile Command Unit, and our SAR hall.  These units would be ready for use on a search or practice site in the event that one of our SAR members, or any visiting public go into cardiac arrest.  The same would hold for the unit stored at the SAR Hall.

New Mobile Command Vehicle for Arrowsmith SAR

New Mobile Command Unit and Equipment truck.

ASAR is currently working on replacing our aging command bus with a new truck mounted command unit.  The bus has served us well over many years, but it is getting tired, and in need of replacement.  We have purchased the chassis for the new unit, it is a 2008 GMC Topkick C6500, with a 230 hp CAT diesel engine. Our next step is to raise funds for the fabrication, installation and outfitting of the command unit box that sits on the chassis.  We have some funding in place, but still require approx $47,000 to complete the project.

In addition to a new command vehicle, we are also in the process of upgrading a 1997 Ford F150 4x4 service truck that was donated to us by B.C. Hydro.  This vehicle is in excellent condition, so our upgrades consist of adding more storage capacity.

Keep checking here for updates and pictures as we progress with these vehicles.
