 AED Fundraising Programme

We are currently raising funds for the purchase of at least one, but possibly two AED units for our Mobile Command Unit, and our SAR hall.  These units would be ready for use on a search or practice site in the event that one of our SAR members, or any visiting public go into cardiac arrest.  The same would hold for the unit stored at the SAR Hall.

New Mobile Command Vehicle for Arrowsmith SAR

Our new Mobile Command Vehicle has arrived.  We took delivery of our new unit at the beginning of December.

Go to our Truck page to see some pictures of the new unit.

Membership

Due to the overwhelming success of our latest GSAR course, our membership roster has increased by over 30 new members.  While we are pleased to have so many new members, it does put a bit of a strain on our ability to provide ongoing training for all of our members.  For that, and other reasons we will be limiting new member applications to persons with previous GSAR and First Aid training from other SAR groups.
We are not planning to hold a GSAR course until 2011, at the earliest.  Please keep checking here for updates on new member application information.
For people interested in assisting Arrowsmith SAR in a support role, such as working on a committee, or helping with fund raising, please send an e-mail to arrowsmithsar@shaw.ca with some background information, and how you may be able to help.

Thank you
